This poster series makes use of three dimensional modeling to create letters as objects. Type is often taken for granted by the untrained eye because we use it everywhere. It is so ubiquitous that it becomes invisible. One of the first things we do in design school is to raise the awareness of type as image — the peculiarities of shape, color, pattern, and texture. These posters play off with this idea as they emphasize the structural qualities of the capital letters. At the same time, they also remind us of really fun and cool signage found on old marquees and store fronts.
